“Lonely Town, Lonely Street” is from Bill Wither’s 1972 album Still Bill. It’s always been one of my favorite songs from the album. It’s got this funky little riff that drives it. And this is a fantastic 1973 performance of the song. There are a few other videos from this live session on YouTube as well. Withers is wearing a Pine Knob t-shirt, which happens to be one of my favorite venues to see music at. Go figure.
